"Cubicles & Dragons" character.

Tinker is a gnome and a professional alchemist. This means that he is an expert at creating devices that mix magic with technology. Unfortunately, Tinker is very old and has grown senile and a little eccentric. Many of his inventions just plain don't work, though he still insists that the heroes he travels with should use whatever he makes. This can sometimes have painful consequences for the heroes; especially for Frank who never has the heart to tell Tinker that his machines don't do what they're supposed to.
