"World" character.

This one was actually inspired by a picture by Doodlebot-Squared [link] that I found interesting.
A halfbreed daughter to a Mammal father and a Smoothskin mother, Haron works as a barmaid/cook in a family-owned inn called "The Haven" in the southern end of Buindas. Haron grew up and lived her whole life the small town her family worked in. She was a good girl and always helped with the business, but her heart always craved for the adventure that the small country life could never offer. Haron loved to read stories of daring and danger. She often fantasized about joining a traveling circus and seeing new places.
When recruiters came passing through looking for new soldiers to support their war effort, Haron saw this as her big chance to travel to exotic new lands taste excitement and adventure. By this time, Buindas was now accepting women into the army and Haron volunteered to join. The following years of her life were filled with hard training, terrible battles, and endless marching. And in the end, Haron got her danger and adventure and got to see places that the people of her home town could never imagine. But it was a hard life, with precious few comforts. It was a blessing when the war finally ended. Haron received a hero's welcome when she finally returned home again. She got rest and peace as she tried to recuperate from her hard years of marching and fighting. She began working again with her family in The Haven, enjoying the simple life.
But how long until her wander lust comes to her again?

Daw!:aww:
Cute story too! But I have to agree with the above comment, does she have a gift and if so, what is it?

--
No, no! I applaud you.

I don't care! So long as it looks cool.
:iconbug-off:
As far as she knows, she doesn't have one.

Don't forget that about 95% of the population has no idea that they even have a gift.

Ah, no. While I tend to invent a lot of characters with active gift forces, the fact is that the vast majority of the population believes that they don't have gifts.

That's why normally when someone has a gift, they're treated at celebrities. In their religion, they believe that gifted people are "touched by the gods". It's why they're referred to as "gifted".

Oh fun! yay! :D This is so cool, I feel all warm and fuzzy knowing I inspired something!

What's the gift thing people commented on before?

Oh, they're talking about something original I invented for my world. See, all people in "The World" are born with a special power called the "Gift Force". Each power is personal and unique to each individual. The problem is that most of these people do not realize that they have this power and can live their whole lives without ever using it. The people that do use their power (about 5% of the population) are referred to a being "gifted".

So when they ask what her "Gift" is, they're asking what kind of power she has. And just so you know, I haven't given her one. But if you want to, you can invent one for her.

So... what would Angelo say to this one?
Seeing as I'm sure you already thought about it.

Oooh, it's like Xanth! :D

What kind of gifts have you already made? So I can get an idea.

Ah, you know me so well. Since she's a common girl he'd most likely go in non challant with something like ''Hey, how's it going?'', like Beavis. Since she looks like a normal, cool girl she deserves more respect than others. Aye, Angelo and I have a few things in common.
