DU: Nordak vs. Wildman

Battle with Wildman


This is just the beginning of a battle that I was planning to draw between Nordak And Wildman in the Deviant Universe's prison break challenge. At the time I had already drawn the panels for the Baal's Deal up until the handshake and figured that was going to be Baal's initiation and that I would make a separate comic for the April challenge focused on Nordak. But then I got worried because I thought my comic was going to cause a continuity error, so I decided to go back and draw a few more panels connecting Baal's deal with the Host to the prison break scene. However, the effort was at the expense of the Nordak battle with Wildman. This is all I got finished.

One thing I think you'll notice immediately about this picture is that Nordak is missing his right arm. That is because his entire right arm is prosthetic and I can't imagine how irresponsible a prison for super villains would be if they allowed an inmate to keep a dangerously deadly weapon like that, which is stronger and tougher than a normal arm and has all sorts of hidden gadgets in it as well. So I simply drew Nordak with his prosthetic arm removed and replaced with a simple stationary hub.
Nordak is nothing if not methodical. And if he can alter an environment to give him an advantage and use strategies that play off an opponent's weaknesses, he will do it.
Nodrak knows Wildman can track targets by using enhanced animal senses, so he started a fire so the smoke could mask his approach. Nordak has also managed to get a hold of a guard's shock baton that freezes up muscles, making it harder for Wildman to use his animal strength and speed.

It's too bad I had to drop this comic, but I wanted to at least post this one picture because I liked how it came out.
