Alright! This journal is here to announce that the
"Like a Brick" comic strip is BACK and ready to roll once more! The people have spoken and they want more
Brick!
Brick! Brick! Brick!
And if you're like most people watching me, you're probably thinking,
"What's is this comic strip you're speaking of? Does it have Diago in it?" No, but that's alright. I've gotten a lot of new watchers lately, so it's no surprise that you don't remember a comic strip I started and ended over a year ago.
Here's the lowdown:
Quite a while back, I got in contact with a published writer, Bonn Turkington, looking to spread interest in his original fantasy world by commissioning artists. We agreed to work together in making a comic strip about a new character that would live in his world and interact with the people and places in it and that he would pay me for my trouble. The character in question became Mackenzie (
"Mack" for short, you can see her bio here: [link]), a manic and fanciful inventor, and her flightless animal sidekick, Brick the owl. I made about five strips as they followed Mack on her quest to invent the world's first flying machine and we called the comic, "Like a Brick".
Here they all are below.

However, problems arose when the writer ran into some business and financial trouble that none of you need concern yourselves with. He couldn't pay me and the comic strip ended. We fell out of contact, my life went on and that pretty much would've been the end of the story. But then a few short months back, I got messages from Bonn once again. He has a new publisher, is selling books again, and he wants to revive the comic strip once more. The publishing company will pay for the strips I make and Mack can once again grace the internet.
That prompted me to color this old picture:

And now we have our first in what we hope will be a long continuous series of new Like a Brick comics!
I thank you all in advance for your support.
Thank you.
